It’s been too long, but Ryoko Read is back. I’ve been wanting to get back here for awhile, but it has been crazy behind the scenes – good crazy.

But it’s time to check in and reflect on some of the huge collaborations, drops, and events that have led up to a huge milestone and dream of mine:

Ryoko Rain is opening doors to our first storefront pop-up at The Irvine Spectrum Center this Sunday, March 1st, 2026.

The road here was paved with thousands of intentional steps. One foot in front of the other, Ryoko Rain built a following, and that community is what this brand was always, and will always, be about. To bring a physical experience and a place to step foot inside the Ryoko Rain culture feels like a monument for our community, and getting to do it in Orange County feels like a homecoming.

The past year took Ryoko Rain all over. From collaborations with NBA All Star, LA Clippers, LA Galaxy, Notre Dame and Teeling Whiskey, and the Anaheim Ducks, Ryoko Rain is for everyone.

Trailblazing the hockey apparel world with the Anaheim Ducks was definitely a highlight. We made our first shoe, the Duck Clog, and just really got an opportunity to expand our creativity and reach in a way that we’ve been itching to do.

I can get so caught up in the grind that I don’t pause enough to feel our impact, but then a big name or superstar lights us up, and it feels like we’re on the right road. But through it all, what keeps us grounded and connected to our roots is the community and local stories. When I get to share the craft behind Dear Ryoko, a dedication to my family or a friend and local leader like Long Beach Mushrooms – those are highlights that bring me back to my why.

I’ve known for a long time that Ryoko Rain would open a storefront, but it was just a matter of when, and where, and why. The Irvine Spectrum Center is a hub in the heart of Orange County, and Ryoko Rain makes sense here. It’s been a long time coming to give our customers a space where they can feel the quality of our products and experience everything Ryoko Rain embodies in person. This is just the first launch. And we’re not trying to stop here.
